Purpose of the Role
The Restaurant Training Officer will be responsible for training restaurant employees according to Pedros Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), improving operational efficiency, and supporting new and existing team members through coaching, mentoring, and practical in-store guidance.
The successful candidate will work closely with restaurant operations teams to ensure consistency in food preparation, customer service, hygiene standards, and overall restaurant performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct training sessions on food preparation and operational procedures according to Pedros SOPs
- Coach, mentor, and support trainees and newly appointed restaurant employees
- Assist employees in improving productivity, efficiency, and service delivery
- Maintain attendance registers, training records, and employee development documentation
- Monitor employee performance and evaluate responses to training programs
- Identify areas of improvement and provide additional coaching where required
- Submit daily reports and updates on completed in-store training activities
- Work closely with restaurant teams to maintain operational standards and company procedures
- Assist with new store openings by providing operational support, mentoring, and on-site coaching
- Support the Training Department with additional projects, operational tasks, and training initiatives
- Deliver presentations on Pedros Training Modules and restaurant operational systems
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning within all restaurant environments
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the restaurant, fast food, hospitality, or related industry
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Griller
- Front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office
- Ability to compile professional reports when required
- Must have own mobile phone
- Must be willing and able to travel when required
